Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Doxus websites doxus.org and app.doxus.org (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Doxus catalogs sermons from Christian churches and ministries that have made their content publicly available. We add searchable transcripts, study guides, and other AI-generated context. Watching and searching are free. Some features (such as channel management for ministries) require a paid plan.
2. Who can use Doxus
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Doxus you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you give us is accurate.
3. Accounts
Most of the Service works without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account. Authentication is handled by Clerk; see our Privacy Policy for what data is collected.
4. Content ownership
Sermons, videos, transcripts of speech, and other source material remain the property of the originating church, ministry, or speaker. Doxus does not claim ownership of that content; we provide a tool to discover, index, and study it. Our own additions — the catalog structure, AI-generated study guides, summaries, embeddings, and platform code — belong to Doxus.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- Violate any law or the rights of others (including copyright);
- Scrape, mirror, or republish our catalog data at scale without permission;
- Attempt to break, overload, or probe the security of the Service;
- Upload, post, or transmit malware or any content that is unlawful, harassing, or harmful to minors;
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organization.
6. AI-generated content
Transcripts, summaries, and study guides on Doxus are generated by automated systems. They may contain errors, mis-hearings, or paraphrases that do not perfectly match the spoken content. They are aids for study, not authoritative records — always verify against the original sermon. Doxus does not warrant their accuracy or doctrinal correctness.
7. Third-party content and links
Videos play through YouTube's embedded player and are subject to YouTube's terms. We may link to external study tools, Bible versions, or church websites; we are not responsible for content on sites we don't control.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doxus will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; if you have an account, you can delete it from your preferences page.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of São Paulo, SP, Brazil, unless a different forum is required by a consumer-protection law that applies to you.
